CWCheat Guide

Lots of people are confused when the term CWCheat is mentioned in some of my new posted games. Here is a guide for you guys.

What is CWCheat?
First, what is CWCheat? CWCheat is basically something like a Gameshark for your Playstation Portable (PSP). The main difference is that to be able to use it, you will need to have some knowledge on “hacking” your PSP. It is also way easier to add cheat in CWCheat compared to Gameshark, because you can use notepad to do the editing manually, or just download the database from various websites (this is the cheat database that come with our newer games). Just make sure that the database that you have is exactly the same version asthe game that you are playing in your PSP (region, type etc.).

Play PSX Games in Your PSP

To play PSX ISO that you downloaded from this site in your PSP is really simple (since we have done pretty much everything for you :)). Just follow the steps below and you should be playing the game in no time.

• Download the PSX game you want to play
• Use WinRAR to extract the files out of the rar file downloaded
• You should be able to find a folder in the rar file
• Copy this folder directly into the “PSP/GAME” directory of your memory stick
• You should be able to find the PSX game under the game list now

Simple right? Have fun! :)

Popsloader

Having problem playing some PSX games? Black screen? Game won’t load? It means you need to install Popsloader into your PSP (some games need this plugin to function). Just follow the steps below to get it installed in your PSP.

• If you have CFW 5.00m33-6, download this popsloader. However, if you have a 5.50 Gen (A-D), you download this popsloader instead.
• Connect your PSP to your computer via USB
• Extract the downloaded Popsloader
• Go to the folder “SEPLUGINS” on your PSP
• Open the file “POPS.txt” (create it if it does not exist) and add the following line: ms0: / SEPLUGINS / popsloader.prx 1
• Activate the plugin from Recovery

• Choose your Prometheus version and download the updater above.
• Put the updater in /psp/game/ folder.
• Run the installer on your PSP. (X = Install, R = Exit)
• After that press X to exit and start the CFW.
• The system CFW should be changed to the new Prome-3 (Name change is only visible on 5.03/5.50).

• Fixed 5.50GEN-D3 1.00 3.60 brings the old game file error problem.
• Correction module is not compatible with the result and the Prometheus can not read file problem.
• Fixed problem of some of the old games.

5.50 Prometheus Guide
This new CFW is compatible with PSP-1000 and PSP-2000 (TA88v2 or below) and allows you to run all the latest 6.20 games without any plug-ins.

Installation

• Install 5.50 GEN-D3. (The guide for this CFW is below.)
• Extract the file CFW 5.50 Prometheus.
• Copy the folder into PSP/GAME/ and run the installer.

Caution: This application could brick your PSP, so use it carefully!

Custom Firmware 5.50 GEN-D3 Installation Guide

Some of our games not working for you? It just means that you don’t have the latest CFW installed yet. The guide below will give you a step-by-step instruction on installing the latest 5.50 GEN-D3 CFW. Once you have this firmware installed, 95% – 99% of our games should work without any problem (except for the more troublesome ones such as Kingdom Hearts – BBS). Please follow the guide exactly as it is to prevent your PSP from bricking. This guide is found somewhere on the internet, so long live the internet! :D

WARNING! DO NOT INSTALL THIS ON PSP-2000 v3 and PSP-3000!

Before installing 5.50 GEN-D3:

1) Backup your saved games because some of them might get corrupted after this process. You can find your PSP’s save files in /PSP/SAVEDATA.
2) Make sure that:

Your PSP is a PSP-1000 (fat) or PSP-2000 (slim) v1 or v2. (will be explained below)
Your PSP has Custom Firmware 5.00 M33 already installed.

Are you ready? Then let’s get started updating our PSP!

1) First, you have to download the 5.50 GEN-D3 installer here.
2) Connect your PSP to your PC via USB mode.
3) Extract the 550.PBP file and the PSP folder to the root of your Memory Stick (not MP_ROOT).
4) Exit USB Mode.
5) Go to your Game Menu and run the 5.50 GEN-D3 Quick Updater
6) Highlight “Enter” then press X.

Note: At the next screen, You will see your PSP model at the top. If it says PSP-2000 TA-088v3 or PSP-3000 TA-090v2, then this installer will not work for you and you might brick your PSP if you continue.

7) You will see a list of options that might become useful to you at another time. For now, Highlight “Flash Install CFW 5.50 GEN-D3″ then press X.
8) Wait for installation to finish.
9) Press X to reboot your PSP.

And you’re done! You are now using CFW 5.50 GEN-D3! You can now play all those hot new PSP games that you weren’t able to play before!

Note: All your PSP system settings (nickname, network settings, theme settings, etc) will be reset after this update.
